Happy International Day of the Boy Child🎉
It was 'a' mothering Sunday at church last week: 'a' because I genuinely asked, "Another Mother's Day?" after which a conversation ensued about how it is an obvious fact that men are not celebrated. Rather, they are beaten down and antagonized to the point that some modern women say would prefer to hang out with a wild bear than a man.
This development is an offshoot of the gender war evident between the two sexes and it has successfully trickled down from adults to children. The consequence is that one gender is shown to be more important than the other, which pushes the well-known and prevalent narrative that 'men are not important'.
Instead of advocating for, protecting, guiding, and building up young boys/men: they are told by society that they are unimportant and not needed and this will take a huge toll on society at large: unless we recognize the need to protect, teach and build up young boys to be good men.
Today, The International Day of the Boy Child, we saw that few to no organizations celebrated nor gave a voice to the boy child and were silent till called out. What do we think will be the result of this apparent neglect? Better men? Safer men? Certainly not! More men in prisons? Probably, more dangerous men? Definitely! because they were left uncatered as boys without proper moulding that would shape them into men fit for society.
The Bible in Proverbs 22:6 admonishes us to teach children the way they should go and when they're old they WILL NOT depart from it. If boys/young men are left untaught and uncatered for, they will become the bears that modern women today pick over men. It will produce weak men who cannot protect those around them, immoral and cowardly men who cannot stand up for the truth.
The marginalization of boys/young men will lead to a disastrous future for the boy and girl child, men and women respectively. The boy child is equally as important as the girl child and should be treated accordingly.
