Another level

You might be thinking, isn't this boy supposed to be reading for exams? Yes but the One helping me read, sent me to post this and I cannot say no😌🤲🏾

So, dear child of God;

For you to get to another level as a growing christian, you need to up your prayer life!

Last week I had a stirr in my spirit; I felt like I should have passed the level I was spiritually. I sensed some sort of stagnancy. I had outgrown the spiritual milk I was eating and it could nourish me no longer, I needed to wean off more baby food.

Something was missing but I didn't know what it was...

Then I remembered I had a prayer closet I had not visited in a while, and I went back to it. Within the first two days of returning to my closet, I was made to realize I did not have a concrete prayer life. I pray, yes: but I needed to pray more frequently and have a set time for when to pray talmbout an 'organised prayer life', Daniel had one...

'...he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God'

Daniel 6:10 NLT

Prayers should be part of our lifestyle as Christians. Not just anyhow anyhow prayers, one where you create time to CONSISTENLY talk to your maker!

I watched a video where someone who was an ex witch/wizard (now a Christian) was narrating how he would stay up at night to cast spells and do all sorts of rituals for power, and we Christians will spend all night sleeping while the adversary and his agents are working 25/8? 

I thank God for his grace and mercy, but we Christians need to wake up. If they can work so hard and be so disciplined in doing evil how much more we, 'light of the world'?  We need to pray fervently as the scripture says.

'...the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much'

James 5:16 b NKJV

I noted; some things I needed to add to boost my spiritual growth include; more trust, more obedience and a prayer life. I've been able to schedule time with my spiritual partner for us to pray.

Today I saw my friends status on Whatsapp. Madam said she'd be praying from 4am to 6.45😭😭. I said 'ahh!' and the Holy Spirit said 'calm down, you'll get there' me kwa?😭 The way I looked at myself 😂.

That's the energy we need though, I pray God sees her through! Amen!

So dear Christian, you need a prayer life. You need to get off your 'cerelac' of a prayer life and start eating 'Amala'. You need to get off your baby prayer life, get off spiritual milk and begin to eat solid food if you want to grow!

I talk to God every day, yes. But it's more than just that. Taking your time out to pray, to thank God is very essential. It's in moments like that we get to hear God's voice more clearly, understand and discern His will more, get to know His plans for us and our future, be more engaged in the prophetic! 

All of this, embedded in a prayer life. It's not easy, but Dad's gonna give us strength!

Payer life is KEY as Christians!

I pray God will continue to help us on our journey as Christians, Amen!
