It's a love story
Love love love.
Not our regular degular human love, I'm talking about the love of God.
I've heard people say oh 'the bible is a love story' blah blah blah and I honestly I didn't see it. I failed to. How could I?
I am currently reading two books 'is God a moral monster?' and 'growing spiritually'
While reading 'is God a moral monster?', I saw 'God loves Jesus' and I went: naaa, stop the cap! You loved him and sent him to die? (This I said in all humility expecting Pops to help me understand) If he loved him why did he have him killed. I refused to read the book and avoided it for two days.
Till one night at 11pm Holy Spirit said oya go read 'is God a moral monster?' and don't stop.
While reading, I began to the intricacies of the law, how it was impossible for humans to keep, how Jesus fulfilled the law, and all we had to do was have faith in Him and accept him as Lord and savior. Man literally clothed us in his blood paving the way for us to meet God.
I thanked God; my questions weren't answered; however, I kept on reading.
I switched to reading 'growing spiritually' instead and there was section 'experiencing acquaintance' and I saw a paragraph that goes...
"I made man so I'd have someone to pal with. I put Adam on the earth in the garden, and in the cool of the day, I'd go down and walk and talk with him."
Mind blownnnn!🤯Imagine having God as your pal and y'all are walking and gisting. It was amazing to think about. That's how it was meant to be, that's how it was, but Adam and Eve's disobedience exposed us to sin and now every where?warfare everywhere.
He still is with us definitely. Okay cool cool
Then I got fed the answer to a question I had a while ago 'why didn't God stop Satan from tempting Adam and eve?'
God loves us, (wants to have a relationship with us) so much so he gave us free will hoping we'd love him back and choose Him.
The bible is a love story with God's many attempts to reconcile us to himself and we keep fighting and rebelling against Him. Bible in a nutshell.
God lost his friend.
He wants his friend back!
His friends have a choice however. Hope you're making the right one?
It takes a level of spiritual awareness to understand these things or you truly wanting to know and understand the things of God and He will never leave you confused.
John 3:16 'for God so loved the world...' used to be words that entered one ear and came out of the other, now it's so rich and full of meaning.
I never understood the gravity of it and it's really amazing man.
When scriptures say 'you were bought at a price', 1 Corinthians 7:23.
The blood of Jesus was being referred to; oh yes, Jesus paid for us, paved the way for us to meet God.
You know who God Isn't? The toxic partner that tries to manipulate you into doing their bidding.
Pops loves you enough to let you be yourself, hoping you'd choose him.
The partner that wakes up everyday and chooses you even if you don't choose him.
He longs to love you my friends.
His love devoid of manipulation.
Unconditional love.
Perfect love that has no fear 1 John 4:18
A love story...
One between man and his maker.
For God so loved the world... Hallelujah!
Back to the reason for this post, the question/statement 'God didn't love Jesus'
I still didn't understand or believe it.
Then Holy Spirit took my heart by the hand and said see;
Jesus is God, God chose to die for you.
We actually fail to recognize that Jesus had a choice while on earth.
Man could've said, naa miss me with that. I no do.
But NO, Jesus loves you as much as God does and chose to die for you so we could stand blameless before God so by believing in him we are saved and declared righteous by God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says
'For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.'
We weren't worthy, and Jesus loved us enough to die for us Romans 5:8
God loves you and nothing can separate you from his love Romans 8:38
'and I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love'
And yes, God does love Jesus and Jesus loves us.
Jesus is God, God loves us.
Simple.
God loves you, say it with pride! That you can rest and abide in His amazing love.
Amazing. God loves us🙏🏽
